Guardini has a tone very reminiscent of Lewis here, very familiar and literary based. He tackles the doubts about modern psychology in the beginning and through the book and shows how Jesus' humanity is "pure", full and free, and yet his personhood can't be traced by exhaustive analysis that would seek to destroy personality.
He also shows a vivid portrait of the most essential qualities in Jesus and how they correlate to His divine nature, instead of being easily reduced to a great "type" of man or a "myth". This book is very recommendable.
