I don't like the way this is heading. Maybe it will get better... or maybe not.

Batman is my favorite superhero of all time and I'm trying to devour as many issues as possible :)

Not remotely the kind of comic book storytelling I like. Gives too much opportunity to rewrite history in ways it doesn’t need to be. Tynion is currently doing a much better job of showing a future dystopia version of Gotham in Detective and this feels like a set up for some convenient bullshit. Knew King’s recent run of excellence had to end sometime, but this still feels rotten.

New mini-series set in a sort of parallel universe! A bit too much humor for me in a Batman comic, but otherwise, everything is good and look promising. We'll see how far it'll goes!

Of course something had to happen before the wedding! Things were going too smoothly, anyway, Selina would have been bored. But I admit the way something went bad for them was highly unexpected. I was a bit confused at first, thinking they were just bringing us a different timeline without a specific reason. I was starting to feel like it might be a filler until they find the right moment to publish the BatCat wedding. But then BOUM that 'I have the worst ideas ever and nothing's stopping me from setting them into motions' ~hero~ decides that destroying Bruce's mental stability is the best wedding gift ever. I admit, I laughed at the idea itself, because it's just so WTF??, but then I realized that this wasn't a filler and they were already trying to ruin BatCat. You couldn't give us some cute little issues where everyone's happy up to the wedding, hmm? You better not touch Selina, just let her be safe and sound in her reality. No need to send her into a weird spatio-trip.

Except for that frustration, I'm sure this can become a good story. It's a bit sad that they're doing this after we had the all yellow button thing with Thomas and Bruce, it's difficult not to compare the two. Nevertheless, I'm really interest in the story and how it plays out. I especially wonder what Martha's survival will change in this deal. And if I give into my fangirl desires, I wonder if the two timelines will have to mix so Selina HERSELF can prove to Bruce that he's got very good reasons to come home (she'd show him the boys, how Alfred is now the dad of everyone, the friendships, etc.) and that way, SHE CAN MEET THE PARENTS!! "I met the dead parents ans they approved of me" equates a wedding vow, no one can convince me otherwise.
