On my first attempt I only got to page 50 of this book. I originally started reading it immediately after I finished Wool and was disappointed that shift was a prequel. However, I recently picked it up again and zipped right through it. I think I needed some separation to enjoy Shift as it's own book. I enjoyed how the ending led us right to the ending of wool, and now I'm extra excited to read dust!

Took a while to get going but started to really enjoy it halfway through.

Such a good book. I'm still torn on whether I liked the first more than this one... While this one didn't lag in the middle, it did cover a lot of the backstory, which I was anxious to hear about. However, the fact that I didn't know much about the Silos in the first book led to more excitement.
