Funny and full of heart, A Little Too Familiar is the best blend of humor, fantasy, and romance. Dual perspective narration allows the reader to experience emotional moments from both sides and believe the journey as the main characters find each other and form a family of misfits - humans, uncannies, and familiars - each one seeking a place to belong.

A sweet, slow paced rom-com where our modern world is full of magical creatures and powers and alllll the found family vibes. It did drag on in parts, but I was in the mood for a slow read so it didn’t bother me.

At times it felt like there was a little too much world building, when naming and talking to side characters took up so much time it kind of deviated from the plot. But it did also make the world feel immersive and cosy - and the soft masculinity of the men taking care of each other and complimenting each other was so lovely. The found family dynamic is always one of my faves - although this particular network of people is so large that I sometimes got names confused.

Overall I loved the ending and am looking forward to more stories in this world. I’m so glad we’re getting more cosy paranormal romances!
