Absolutely excellent—essential reading for anyone living in today’s culture! This book introduces the concept of body/person dualism, and how it influences mainstream thought on the topics of abortion, euthanasia, hookup culture, homosexuality, transgenderism and family. Each chapter is incredibly thorough, addressing not only what the Bible has to say about it, but also providing rich history lessons, insight into different perspectives all over the thought spectrum, and ultimately equipping us well with the tools to understand and refute the lies that are so constantly being hurled at us these days.

Suggested by my pastor and was wildly informative. It’s a lot to take in but I listen to it during work and found it to be insightful. Definitely changes perspectives and gives background to controversial subjects.

A book on the intersection of faith, ethics, and the human body. Pearcey masterfully navigates the complex cultural landscape, offering a deeply insightful and thought provoking analysis of contemporary issues related to sexuality, bioethics, and personhood. For me this book is a beacon of clarity in a world inundated with conflicting messages about the human body and its intrinsic worth. Pearcey provides a comprehensive and compelling defence of the Christian worldview regarding the sanctity of life, the meaning of sexuality, and the value of every individual. What sets it apart though is its balanced and compassionate approach. Pearcey doesn't critique opposing views but offers a compelling vision rooted in truth, love and compassion. Her empathetic understanding of differing perspectives allows readers to engage with sensitivity, understanding and conviction.

I've never heard sexuality and body image explained this way. Nancy Pearcey's books are going to the top of my TBR.

Fantastic book that addresses abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, transgenderism, and how the Biblical view of the body is higher than the secular ethic.
Each chapter is beyond thorough. The halfway mark of each chapter seems like a logical conclusion which makes reading the book difficult as it can be very repetitive. Overall - the arguments that Pearcey makes are clear and logically sound which makes this book a must read.

Deeply thought provoking and well researched. A challenging read that warranted much annotating of the margins and led to much critical thinking.
