Wow. Ferrante’s ability to tell a story while capturing the intricacy of motherhood with so much clarity in her writing has always fascinated me.

Though this book gives off “no plot, just thoughts”, I still love it. This book really changed how I view mothers, women and my experience as a woman in general. It's a very interesting topic to explore and Ferrante always has her way in articulating all the feelings that every woman has experienced and giving the story a voice that makes us women feel heard. As if we're one.

“Years earlier, I had been a girl who felt lost, this was true. All the hopes of youth seemed to have been destroyed, I seemed to be falling backward toward my mother, my grandmother, the chain of mute or angry women I came from.”

I didn’t really get it? But maybe because I’m not a mother.
