FINALLY! I MADE IT!
I’ve been reading this series for years now and i really just wanted to end with it.
I was a huge fan of the story growing up, so I was dying to read them and was kinda disappointed.
Don’t get me wrong, the books are great and also brilliantly written but just not for me right now.
Regarding The End: I loved the concept! It was strange to me though because it wasn’t how I imagined the end to be like.
Did I get answers? Hell no.
Did I get more questions that probably will never be answer? Yes, definitely.
So, yeah.
This was it.
Thank you Violet, Klaus, Sunny and even Olaf for your stories that accompanied me since I was a kid.

Mixed feelings here. On one hand, this is not a terrible conclusion in terms of where the siblings ended up. The book also has interesting developments and some revelations, just not nearly enough.
There were so many hints throughout the series about secrets. We only found out a few of them, and they weren't as interested as we'd been led to expect. Also, giving the siblings a huge book in which they find answers that we, the reader, don't get to read it... that's such a cop out. Even if I did like the name of the book.
Also, trying to make Olaf a complex character in the second half of the thirteenth book? Yeah, no, you don't get to do that.
Overall, in terms of a conclusion for the series and all it's been building up to, this was not good. But I'm so tired of this series and had so few expectations that I'm not even mad. Besides, these book weren't that long and I'm just happy to be done.

Not completely satisfied with the ending but it did leave me mindblown! So glad I've finally finished this series.

What a joke. Honestly, nothing redeemable. Writer way too obsessed with "Lemony Snicket" aka the worst, most annoying and pointless character in the whole series. Whole series a total waste of time. Rubbish. Felt like he was purposely leaving all the ends loose so he could continue his Snicket character and make more money.

Beatrice.
Wasn't expecting that, but I also didn't expect this ending based on the endless warnings Mr. Snicket decides to give us.
side note: maybe it should be titled "a series of unexpected events"
