I originally rated this book 3 stars… but i realized today that I think about this book way too often. I find myself comparing other stories to this one and constantly seeing things that remind me of this book. I think I really wanna read it again

*CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS!

I went into this story expecting something along the lines of a story that would grip my attention, and with claims that if you love Colleen Hoover books, you’d like it, this book unfortunately wasn’t for me.

The whole time I was reading, there was just too much vagueness that left me wondering, “ok so, where is this story heading towards??”. The beginning was just mostly Lilah and Callum getting to know each other, but there wasn’t much substance or chemistry for me to feel a connection to them. I understand that eventually it would lead up to an emotional climax in Lilian’s story, but even then, I felt nothing. I’m a bit disappointed in how this book ended up being. Personally for me, this book wasn’t it for me, but who knows maybe for someone else it might be. I don’t really have much to say that other than, I had high hopes for this book, but it didn’t end up being what I’d expected. Please keep in mind when reading this story that it deals with some heavy topics so, check the trigger warnings, and be mindful before reading about the subject matter.

Me Without you was a beautiful story. I loved how Lilah and Callum met. And how their story developed…no matter what they were destined to be together.

It took a bit to find out Lilah’s secret and hesitation for her and Callum’s relationship. How terrible and tragic to have to go through all she/they had to.

I did respect the ending. I’m glad Kelly Rimmer touched such an important issue (I don’t want to spoil anything but it might be triggering for people).

Thanks to Netgalley and Forever for a copy in exchange of an honest review.
