This book was really great! Very detailed with very descriptions of everything that involves visiting New York City. I like that things were broken down in categories from Expensive to least expensive. Also, events, restaurants and hotels were further broken down by borough which is extremely important if you'll be sight seeing. Now I'm excited for my trip in November.

This book was extremely helpful as I planned my itinerary for our upcoming New York trip, and I'll definitely be taking it with me on vacation. I only have a few complaints about the guide - the biggest is that the index in the back is not detailed enough, having listings for only major sites. I also would have liked a bigger and more detailed subway map, as we'll be depending on that form of transportation. Another nice addition would have been a listing of Broadway plays with details on where the different theaters were located; I realize that plays change, but Frommer's issues a new guide every year, so it wouldn't be that difficult to stay updated. All in all, though, I'm happy with my choice of travel guides.
