I liked the book, and the concept was very interesting. However, I feel like the book could have been more concise. The entire book felt more like the first third of a larger book instead of a story by itself.

This book started out with some promise, but just ended up as a great big info dump at the end, somewhere in the midst of which I ceased to care about the characters.

And then there's the fact that the main dumper managed to gather all that information in just an afternoon (by her description). *sigh*

FOUND is a promising start to another Haddix sci-fi/speculative/dystopian series that will be sure to attract fans both old and new. The suspense is almost unbearable; the plot twists unpredictable, yet reasonable. The characters are less well developed than those in her previous books, and Jonah is occasionally a frustratingly cynical and denial-happy protagonist. But young readers may be able to overlook character deficiencies in light of the excitement. Classic Haddix goodness.

This book immediately drew me in. It has an intriguing plot-line and a good pace...... For most of the book. The last quarter of the book felt too rushed in my opinion. The revelations are fascinating but I feel like there could have been a little bit more time spent on them. I am undecided whether or not I will read the second book as of now.

(4.5) This is another re-read to see if I want to continue the series. With that being said I do like Margaret Peterson Haddix’s writing style and I enjoyed the first book in this series. I like the concept of missing kids from history and how they have to return their time to “correct” history before it’s too late.
