This book has given me new perspective on life and what our focus should be. I will be reading further on Buddhism as I'm very intrigued by this and feel it could be very positive
It's the first book I've managed to finish in some time.

Written by an expert of human psychology and His Holiness Dalai Lama XIV, I couldn't question it's quality. This book is exploring all sides of happiness, how it affects us, and how to gain it. This book is a great combination of the Eastern Buddhist perspective and the Western Scientific perspective.
After reading this book, really, I felt that I've became a better and happier person. :) Life is just too precious for you to waste on being unhappy. :)

Very superficial explanations of concepts, almost like HH the Dalai Lama had to strip everything of meaning to be able to present this concept as a Western concept so a purely Western audience would resonate with it.

Not for the faint of heart. I picked this book up after a very traumatic breakup and thought this will help me and be an easy read. For me this book was very intense and I struggled reading it and did get through it. The book is one my favs.

It's quite misleading for this book to be listed by the Dalai Lama (here on Goodreads, on Amazon, at my local library). It's absolutely not. It's by Howard Cutler, who spent some time interviewing the Dalai Lama, and then wrote a book about it, including all of his thoughts and experiences about what the Dalai Lama said. That's not the book I wanted to read. I didn't care for Cutler's writing, and am not really interested in what he has to say.
