Action comics - Mild Mannered - 4.5 out of 5 stars

What I liked
:

"Mild Mannered" is a 2 issue prequel to the "Superman Reborn" storyline and It does a perfect job in setting the stage for the mega event .

This one first of all deals with the Lana Lang storyline , which having not read any of the post-rebirth Superwoman stories , I feel like I'm not in a position to much talk about .

The real focus however was on the New Clark Kent , who appears to have been pushed by Destiny to ask out Lois Lane in a dream to be together with her, Lois also trying to uncover the mystery behind Kent , indulges him at the start but soon things get messier .

The mystery behind Clark has been one of the most charming factors of the Action comics so far and it's finally starting to look as if we might be in to find some answers , meanwhile the book managed to really made the creepy factor for Dopple-clark go up a notch and really showed the evil side that lurks beneath .

The art remains stellar , although its still not something to rave about , but it's nothing that will leave one dissapointed either .

What I Didn't Like :

The book was initially promoted as the revellations behind the presence of Clark ,but as it stands the mystery indeed was actually lengthened instead of looking to be any closer to being solved . Although considering it set the stage for "Superman Reborn" so well , it's really harsh of me to criticize this issue

Conclusions

Stellar issue , setting stage for Superman Reborn , the first megaevent of the action comics / Superman comics tie-up, which I can't wait to read after reading this . Hyped !
