This book was wonderful from beginning to end. The characters are that which you can relate to, the events are both heart wrenching and astonishingly real. I could read this book 20 more times and still want to cry and rejoice with the events in the book. Doris reminds me so much of my great aunt Dolores that throughout the novel I felt like the two of them were one person. Books like this that feel so real are amazing and authors that can make you feel this way are rare. I am so glad to have won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I cannot wait to find if this author has written more amazing novels.
