Oh nee, er zit een monster in je boek!
Een heerlijk boek was dit zeg, ik had al gehoopt dat het leuk zou zijn, maar zo leuk? Ik weet zeker dat kinderen dit NOG leuker vinden dan ik het vond.
Want dit is niet zomaar een boek over een monster in een boek, oh nee, het is heel interactief. De schrijver/voorlezer zal je vragen om het boek te schudden, nee, niet naar rechts, maar naar links. Om het boek te zwaaien, je moet blazen (veeeeel harder), je moet schreeuwen. Alles om het monster uit je boek te krijgen, want je wilt natuurlijk geen monster in je boek. :P
Ik moet zeggen dat ik op punten wel medelijden had met het monster, hij leek niet heel erg slecht en ik vond het zielig dat ik het boek moest schudden of naar hem moest blazen.
Het einde? Of eigenlijk wat er uiteindelijk gebeurd en dat weer naar het einde leidt. Ik zal niks verklappen, maar ik vond het echt superleuk en ik moest wel lachen om hoe de schrijver het boek eindigde.
De tekenstijl, of eigenlijk hoe het monster getekend is, was erg schattig en leuk. Het monster was nou niet echt eng, maar dat vond ik niet erg want dat paste bij het boek.
Ik zou dit boek zeker aanraden. Kinderen zullen er niet genoeg van krijgen.

There’s a Monster in Your Book tells a story of what happens when you, the reader, discover a mischievous monster as hoped into your book.
The book is interactive as the reader/child attempt to remove the monster from the book, but then discover that you may not want a monster in your room. It’s adorable. The artwork is colorful. And what ensues are giggles, fun discoveries, and interactions as the child try’s to help do what the author has written on the pages.
The first time and each time after reading this story with my son has been a priceless adventure. He loves to help me get the monster out and then back in the book. I find the story to be fun and the illustrations are cute. It’s one that both of us enjoy!
I can see There’s a Monster in Your Book becoming a favorite with children of all ages.

I loved this little interactive book and I'm certain children will too! Adding this to my monster story time. Grrr...
