I read this because I enjoyed the movie, but they are almost separate entities.
The movie tells a story about a group of women in a mental hospital and the various shenanigans they get up to.
The book tells a story through the eyes of someone with mental illness. Some of the details may seem unimportant, you might be missing large chunks of time, it might be out of order, it might change topics. It was so authentic feeling and so interesting because of this.

I really related to Susanna, not only in her mental health struggles, but in her self reflections on those struggles. I just wish the book had been a bit longer/ more in depth, because by the end I felt like the book had just begun.

3.5⭐️ Very interesting book not similar to anything I’ve read before, I loved getting to know each character however there isn’t much plot to the book so no plot twists etc it’s more about understanding the different characters, not my type of book however was still enjoyable to read and quite a short book
