I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

A few weeks ago I found out about these comics, and I already read them all online. However, when I saw the complete book would be up on Netgalley I just had to have it. See if there were any new things in there, or if it was just a collection of all their internet works.

The conclusion? It was all their internet work, and nothing more. Which is a bit of a shame, but oh well, I still enjoyed myself even if I knew all the comics. :) I still laughed a whole lot at all the silliness that is going on in the lives of these 2 and their friends. Their cats (and also the cats they meet).

I do feel that not having the comments that came with each comic takes away some of the fun. Sometimes the context is just a bit lacking without seeing Ananth or Yuko talk about what happened in that particular comic. You miss a bit of background. And that is a shame. Maybe if I hadn’t know about the comics before this I wouldn’t have missed it, or maybe I would, guess we will never find out. Sometimes it would be fun to be able to read stuff again like it is the first time.

The art is just super fun and I love the style. It was what captured me in the first place. I loved the art in that Penny graphic novel I read, and the keep the same style in this one.

I am happy though that they put everything together in one book. I will definitely see if I can buy it, as I want it in my collection.

The ending still brought a big smile on me, just like when that part happened online. Congrats you two!

All in all, this is one book I would highly recommend!

'Our Cats Are More Famous That Us: A Johnny Wander Collection' by Ananth Hirsh and Yuko Ota is a huge omnibus of a comic collection, but I never felt bogged down with reading it.

The comics are about young roommates living together, and the cats they share their space and neighborhood with. Some of the comics feel like they just trail off, but that is part of the charm of this collection. There are strips about moving furniture, and hour by hour art jams. There are jokes about vegetarians from the unfeeling carnivore. There are trips to meet parents and more as the couple grows closer.

I've read other young person themed works, but I think I liked this one best of all because the characters aren't really commenting on how hard it is to be a grown up. They just do it. Whether or not they succeed, I was on these character's sides. The art is fun and I really like the occasional section dividers with some nice prose and poetry.
I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Oni Press, Diamond Book Distributors, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

This collection just felt so very comfy to me, if comics can be comfy. The strips were relatable to a 20-something-year-old fresh out of undergrad, the art was so fluid and pleasing, and I found myself sending some to my girlfriend because they were just too funny not to share. Sometimes I was a little confused as to how other people were related to the main creators of the comics, but I figured things out. If you like cozy and relatable slice of life, I definitely would recommend.

An adorable, fluffy slice of life series of biocomics! Seeing the art style evolve was especially interesting but the cute little glimpses into everyday life and everyday silliness made it a great wee read even if it being ‘set’ between 2008 and 2015 made me feel old

One of my all-time favorite reads, it's perfect for a sweet, relaxing morning read with some tea- and a cat of course.

The ink colors initially bugged me but after more than halfway through it, I kinda got used to it and no longer notice the colours. Based on the title, I thought it was a graphic novels of cats but it's of a couple and their cat.

DNFed about halfway through. It's a collection of comic strips and some of them are cute but most don't seem to go anywhere and it was hard to feel motivated to keep picking it back up again.
