Unexpectedly really liked this!

The background stories of several characters were a bit wonky, but other than that I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun, heavy, emotional and lighthearted all at once, and I can't deny I teared up a little at the end. In other words, this was pretty much everything you'd want in a feelgood book, can definitely recommend this if you're in the mood for something fun yet comforting!

I honestly think I would have liked this book better if I didn’t listen to it - I found the narrator’s voice annoying, especially when she did the British accent for Hugo’s voice. The story itself was fine, but nothing too memorable. Solid three stars.

This book is like being wrapped in a warm hug. It is such a feel-good read, despite having some heavy topics included in it. Definitely add it to your TBR!

An easy and predictable read. As a child free person, I found it very difficult to relate to the protagonist who's main motivation is adopting a child.

For everyone who had a favorite author as a kid, this book explores the relationships with the books that defined us. A wonderful story that had me turning every page eagerly.
