I'm pretty sure I didn't entirely understand all of this, but I loved it all the same. The best way I can describe it is with a weaving analogy: you start out with what seem like unrelated threads and it takes some time to see how they're going to work together, but it's really only near the end that you see the whole pattern for what it is. The main reason I've rated it so highly is that on nearly ever single page there was at least one phrase or idea or image that delighted or amazed me. Every page.
