Wow. When I started reading I couldn't stop. Hawkins is renowned for his own personal style of bleak horror and he has delivered yet again. No one-trick pony by any stretch of the imagination, his latest offering is more than just bleak, it is well written and gory, tense and mesmerising. I would have liked to read a longer version of Deathcrawl; I feel there was more to the story. But I guess that's the idea, to leave the reader wanting more.
Overall this was an entertaining and well written story. Another great offering from Mr. Hawkins.
