I was liking it so much, dark vibes, secrets and mystery but The ending ruined it unfortunately with nonsense explained to the werid mix of tech and magic ( I am not kidding I actually understand nothing) . It could be better if it was more than one volume to know the characters more ..

the cover is super beautiful I like the art so so so much unique and amazing!

Found this one on Libby and actually really enjoyed it. It's about a girl in boarding school whose great aunt dies and leaves her a magical locket and a mansion. She then meets other girls who have special jewellery, and together, they defeat the bad girl. Was a good read. I'd recommend it.

Such a cool concept and the art was beautiful, but the plot was hard to follow and all of the characters were underdeveloped. This had so much potential but I think it could’ve been executed better.

Leah Moore describes this project in the endnotes as "magical girls meets Edgar Allen Poe" and that's a pretty good summary of why I enjoyed this book. It's the perfect fusion of girls developing magical powers, old-fashioned boarding school antics and Gothic novels. Plus the art is stunning. The denouement was a bit more steampunk than I was expecting and the ending felt like the beginning of something new rather than a definitive end, but there's a lot of promise here. I hope we get more adventures of Anne and her friends in future!
