The story was good but I really dislike short books that end in the middle of the story. So you have to buy 4 books to get the whole story. If it's a series with full length novels then yes. Short novellas, no.

Phew. Hansel was...part 1 is kind of amazing. I read the synopsis and thought dark erotic fairy tale? That could be good or it could be a disaster. I will either love it or I will hate it. I hadn't read anything by the author before so I just decided to give it a go. It is a quick read so if it was bad I wouldn't be wasting a lot of my time. Well this was far from bad. I loved this story, at least this first part. It is dark and gritty and everything I wanted. The story is so much better than I thought it would be. If you do not like dark than this is not the story for you. It is kind of an intense read.

Hansel and Gretel(Leah) first meet after Leah is kidnapped by Mother Goose. She looks the part of Gretel and Mother has been needing that. She is locked up and her only source of companionship is Hansel on the other side of the wall. He makes a small hole in the wall so they can talk and hold hands. He tries to help Leah as much as he can, and she him. It sounds horrible and you get to see what it was like through some flashback. Man Mother is crazy. Obviously. She would have to be, but I loved how crazy she was. I loved that she was crazy with fairy tales. It was just a really interesting idea. Terrible for the kids, but she was a great villain.

The story takes place years after Hansel and Leah escape Mother's house. Leah stumbles upon Hansel again only he is now a famous Dom. He has subs who he uses to try and be with Leah when he knows he can't. It was...oh. It was hot and intense and everything wrapped up in this dark fairy tale. Leah and Hansel obviously both wanted to be with the other, but not sure why they weren't after they got out. You don't get to see much of the in between time yet, but phew! I cannot wait to see what happens! Amazing read so far. Now on to part 2!

Intriguing premise that I'm very interested in seeing where it goes and how it all ends. Pretty interesting characters too but I must admit I couldn't stand Hansel so I'm looking forward to seeing if he's redeemed at all in my eyes.

TAKE OFF THE MASK!!!!! SING!!!! Do SOMETHING to make him remember you! Oh my god. I've never needed to know what happened more. This would be perfect if it was a full length novel. I wish everybody ditched the 'part...' Thing they've got going on lately!

5 holy mind blowing panty melting stars!!

I was unsure where this was going to lead when I started, so let me start right now if you are faint of heart and don't like dark erotica tread carefully.
Ok now to the goods, I loved loved loved this story,it adds fairy tale to life, its in no way paranormal so don't be afraid. It's a twisted new age version of and SVU episode rolled into erotica. And who could ask for more.

Living in hell was not easy, living after hell seemed to be harder too. One was a house slave and one was a sex slave both found something in each other that they held onto even in the future.

There's not much I can say that won't give it away so this is what I leave you with... Don't wear panties, there's really no point.

"Because I'm not a sadist--not just.
Inside, I'm still Hansel. And Hansel is a masochist."

Leah McKenzie is trying to overcome her past when she was taken by Mother Goose and held captive along with a boy known to her as Hansel to her Gretel.

The two manage to escape but each of them independently has been looking for the other. Will they finally be able to find each other and will it be what they each need?

This was a super interesting look into a different view of Hansel and Gretel.

I felt bad for Leah and how she was kidnapped and how she struggled with reality.

I was so frustrated at how Edgar "Hansel" treated her and never gave her a chance.

Looking forward to reading what happens next!

Warning: This is a 4 part series that has cliffhangers at the end of each book. You have been warned.

This is a modern twist on the Hansel and Gretel story, and it is actually a really good story. So Hansel and Gretel aren't really siblings, and Hansel and Gretal aren't really their real names. They are two kids who were abducted and spent months locked in a room next to each other. They escape and years later find each other again.

So this story isn't for the faint of heart. It really has some screwed up moments but it is still GOOD. I gave it 4 stars because I had a few issues with some things. Here they are:

-Hansel could never make up his mind about Gretel
-Cliffhanger at the end of every book and it drives you crazy
-Hansel never got the serious psychiatric he really needed
-Echo never really made an appearance

Good stuff:
-The storyline is awesome
-The characters are hilarious and sad
-Did I mention the storyline is AWESOME
-A new spin on a classic tale

This book is an easy, and fast read. I read all 4 in not ever 5 hours. Within those 5 hours i had time to take a nap. This book deserves a chance and I betting that you won't be disappointed.
