“A rather curious situation has arisen, Tibbett. We have had an absolutely unofficial request for help from Tampica. The Caribbean island, you know. Used to be a colony, but independent now. Member of the Commonwealth, of course>” p.13

I have a friend who is reading his way through the Henry Tibbett mysteries. When he has finished each one, they find their way to my TBR shelves. I decided that this story should accompany me on my brief vacation this past week.

I had a good time, while visiting Tampica, the totally fictitious island where this mystery was set. However, the world has changed a great deal since 1989, especially in the area of drug crimes. It took a lot of suspension of disbelief for me to follow this mystery.

If you like Henry Tibbett, you might want to read this episode. If you have never encountered Henry and his wonderful wife, Emmy, I would recommend one of Moyes’ mysteries that is set in England. I think they are much more interesting.
