I quite enjoyed this little prequel. It served as a good introduction to Blackout. Krezi is a fifteen-year-old girl who has been through a lot in the last little while. Her and her sister were in a car accident, then their house burned down from a fire, and now Krezi is experiencing some very strange things. She thinks that maybe she started the fire to her house. Ever since the accident, she has run a very high fever and she soon discovers that she can release that heat/energy/whatever-it-is to do damage to things around her.

I thought this novella was very well-done. It instantly caught my attention. So far, I like the characters and the story and I am looking forward to reading Blackout.

Going Dark does exactly what it's supposed to: get you charged and ready for Blackout. CANNOT WAIT.

Review to come. Prequel for Robison Wells' s Blackout series was an intriguing one if a bit brief. I honestly liked the protagonist and it made me curious as to what caused her sudden illness and set of powers. After a series of horrible events, she finds herself on the run. I'll definitely be reading the overarching series.
