I really wanted to enjoy this book but I found myself a bit bored in the last few stories. I think Still Under Construction was the best one for me, I really liked that story. But the rest were just meh alright. I don’t think this is anything like Aron’s other books, guess you have to start somewhere though!

Boring. Horrible writing. And full of misogyny, homophobia and transphobia. Will not read anything else by this author.

Woooow, I’m impressed.
Aron’s books are usually all really good reads for me, this one especially. I enjoyed seeing characters that I’ve read before from books i’ve read before, i believe i read a book and there was 2 chapters about characters in that book (scary bastard).
I enjoyed every little chapter, even some of them made me sad, like Five o’clock shadow, that one was sweet & heartbreaking.
I am truly never disappointed when I read Aron’s writing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Just like with Beauregard's other work, Playground, the way he writes gore is fascinating to me.
It's never just a throw away, it's always got something to do with the story and it's never pure shock.
The things described are shocking but they're never PURE shock, which I admire.
My only issue is the consistent use of slurs throughout the book, the r slur is the one probably used the most with a runner up of the f slur which is very uncomfortable to be consistently reading as a queer autistic person who's had those words thrown at me haphazardly.
But other than that, this book was fairly enjoyable.
