absolutely loved loved this book so so much! As a Latina I adored how this book was both written in Spanish and English and I loved how true the characters resembled Hispanic culture. I love this story so muchโฆJulian you stole my heart too. Checkmate
Love Redesigned | Lauren Asher
3.5โ
With the release of Love Arranged on the horizon this month, I had been saving these first two books so I could read the series together as a whole. I found it a bit difficult to stay hooked in the beginning of the story.
Love Redesigned follows childhood rivals Julian and Dahlia, forced together on a house renovation project. Dahlia, the interior designer is met with an undeniable opportunity to help CEO Julian restore a monumental home, while tripling their profits and keeping the historic district intact. Some moments felt a little out of touch - throwing the ring in the concrete mixer, buying a house to spite the ex.. oh to be rich. ๐ I did think these books are overly long, and there were a few cringe worthy moments. I like how Lauren incorporated a crossover with her Dreamland Billionaires series, and iโm excited to continue on and read Ellie and single dad, Rafaelโs story. ๐คญ

okay LISTEN... I really tried to love this book. I TRIED! Was it a good book? Oh 100%. This is my first Lauren Asher book but I have high hopes for the rest of her books.
Going into this one, all I knew was that the FMC was an Interior Designer and the dedication was "To those whose love language is words of affirmation. Your praise kink is safe with me (and Julian Lopez)." SO I WAS PUMPED.
But then disappointed... 1- I'm a professional interior designer. It's what I went to college for, it's what I do now for a living. But every single book I pick up with a character that is a designer, they ALWAYS have some sort of TV show... LIKE UGH majority of us are just normal people with normal lives lol so I think that took me out of the book more than I would have hoped.
2- I don't think the spice lived up to the dedication lol... like okay yes loved the banter, absolutely love Julian and Dahlia together, but where was the praise????
OVERALL- I did enjoy this book and I would recommend it because the tropes were everything and I really loved the childhood friends to enemies to lovers storyline. Literally from the second Julian paid Dahlia for her engagement ring and then threw it in cement, I was in love with him.
So excited for Rafa's book because I did really love learning his story too.
