I thought this was a great read, and it was different enough from the TV show that I felt engaged and surprised by the plot. However, I am disappointed that we will never get to see the plot Hamish Steele intended for the TV show which I was somewhat hoping to see within the graphic novels, but I am excited to continue the series.

One star off because
Spoilerthe dog dies at the end and I AM NOT ABOUT THAT AND IT HURT.....Pugsley...he did nothing wrong
, but otherwise oh I love all the characters and the plot is so very fun! I enjoy stories that mix together whimsical and silly with drama and dark topics. I also really loved the easy way in which neurodivergent and fat and LGBT characters fit right into the main plot as the main characters and that they actually get to *talk* about and acknowledge the fact they are neurodivergent and LGBT. I have some minor complaints about the pacing of some of the story arcs and, of course, the spoiler at the top of this review, but I really did enjoy this graphic novel overall. The art style is expressive and cute and the colors are great, as well, and I just had fun reading this. Looking forward to the next volume.
