I'm open to a rationalistic approach to these subjects of cray, but this wasn't it. It's a dizzying thesis that Pinchbeck brings to you the reader, and while I think I actually agree with Pinchbeck's assessment of the world as he presents it here, I'm not sure the book does a strong job of clarifying what he's saying.

Which basically seems to be, read everything and sort of stare at it all like it's one big thing out of the corner of your eye.

He believes the world is ruled by an Archon (love me Gnostic folk). I do too, I'm just not settled on whether the Archon exists for real, or is just some HEAVY mental programming that needs to be superseded by better memetic ideas for our species.

Meh

Intelligent well-reasoned analysis but not what I needed. I didn't like the feelings it produced. I'll explore other authors on this topic and see if I come away with more of what I seek. It was a mediocre experience.
