Despite the original premise, this series has quickly devolved into another zombie apocalypse survival story. There are some interesting new ideas for the zombies themselves and the artwork is still fun, but I'm not sure there’s enough here to make it stand out. I have enjoyed the cover art galleries and the back of all the books however.
