This was moderately funny, but I wasn't very engaged with it. Perhaps I'm not a direct match for Kaling's humor, but it felt forced at times. At other times, it felt insincerely shallow, as though that was an act for the reader. This was an OK read, but I didn't find it to be special.

"Porker"? Are we really fat-shaming just like that? That chapter about she starring in a list of curvy people and fatshaming the others because she "is not that fat" was the worst. Well, not really: the alternate reality email things was the worst, in fact. Such a shame, the first book was okay.

Somewhat repeats her first book, but something I think everyone needs to hear. I think I will buy these physical copies; I just rented the audio book this time and she's awesome. So smart, and wise, and funny and just all around authentically real.

Finished this in one day. So so so funny, there were whole sections I wanted to read back to my husband and friends

Reading this book felt like hanging out with Mindy Kaling, and that is awesome.
