Had to return to the library and tbh I have a very low attention span for nonfiction lately. But loved some recent podcast interviews with the author, so will try again sometime!

Anyone interested in the history of disability, particularly blindness in the US, would love this book. Part memoir, part cultural study, part history, part philosophical considerations on what it means to be blind. What is disability and why and when does the label matter?

Well-written with a lot of heart.

Fabulous writing… I learned a ton. Humorous, educational, touching. Great read.
