What a delightful romp! Part of the Drake's Rake world, this book stands on its own - I've not read the others in the series and had no trouble following it. The major draws are the well developed characters, delightful dialog, terrific historical setting, and a nice mystery with plenty of twists and turns to keep the plot moving along with the romance. I am very picky about Regency romances, and found this to be top-notch.

Dreyer's finally given me a 7th Drake's Rakes book after all this time, but sheesh...giving this a generous 2.75, rounded up to 3 stars, as her witty banter is there (ugh and it can be so fun!)... and this had the bones to be a full length novel, but it was so damn short, and felt so awkward and rushed by the end. Some strange instalove on the part of the hero, especially when the big twist is revealed...it just, doesn't work. Such a disappointing way to return to the series...
