Molly, one of the Roanokes, feels like she can finally be herself at camp. She has made friends that feel like family and, on top of that, has had a ton of adventures. So when a nightmare reminds her of what awaits, or doesn't await, her at home, she is desperate for help. A lone voice speaks out to her from the woods and promises her that it'll help. It presents her with a way to slow down time, just a little, so she can spend more time at camp. But the deal isn't what Molly thought she'd bargained for as camp seems to freeze and mysterious bubbles that age and de-age people appear.

Volume 11 perfectly encapsulates what makes this series successful: the bond between the Roanokes which is just lovely to behold.

The story was fun, but I missed the random names of important women.

My kingdom for a consistent art style in this series. I liked this installment, especially with the glimpse of whatever situationship is going on between the adults in the story. The ending was a bit anticlimatic, but at least we're making some strides towards the mysteries of the camp.

This time Molly is tricked and in an attempt to slow down the summer creates time bubbles that start causing havoc. Who is the voice behind the waterfall? what magic does the summer camp contain? What is next for the Lumberjanes? I for one (my daughter as well) can't wait to find out.

I always like a Lumberjane tale and this was just fine. I liked the bubbles as destructive force - that was clever. But Molly, really? You should know by now never to trust some random voice.

I was kind of disappointed in this arc of my favorite series. I get the increasing feeling that the story is just resting on its laurels and delivering the same familiar beats without engaging the reader or growing the characters. It was fine, but I know the series can do better.

I missed a TON of volumes in between the last Lumberjanes TPB and this one, and it was noticeable. Still a bunch of fun, but I didn't recognize some characters and some references went over my head—I assumed I had just forgotten important plot points, but it looks like I missed Volumes 7 through 10, oops. I'd recommend... not doing that?

The art in this volume wasn't my favorite. It distracted from the story a bit and dimmed the usual Lumberjanes charm for me.
