A nice introduction to where you live and how you fit in the universe. Would recommend.

August 2017 - a cumulative story about our place in the universe. Some nice details - the blanket turns into all manner of spaceships and vehicles, and then back into a blanket. Great illustrations.

Covers the concept of "far" and "close". Starting with the universe with it's stars that light up the night and zooming in little by little, page by page until we're in bed, in our house, on our street, in our country...etc. etc. etc.

A quiet little rhyming story, with the rhythm of This is the House That Jack Built that explains a boy’s spot in the big universe as the boy prepares for bed.

“This is my country, with highlands and plains,
with farmlands and cities and highways and trains.

It sits on my continent, far and wide,
which kisses an ocean on either side,
on half the Earth,
which circles the sun,
which hides its face when the day is done,
while stars glow bright
and light up the night.”
