Thank you so much to Abigail and also to Lisa for making this book available to me! I thoroughly enjoyed it—liked it better than Hearts and Coronets—and I agree that it has similar elements to The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, one of my all-time favorite children’s books. I loved the gothic and suspenseful aspects of the story, and seeing Sydney grow and blossom. A lovely sentimental girl’s book and completely entertaining read!
