Another incredible volume packed with action, mayhem, and powerful character moments. This story focused on Rin helping Manji escape from the prison, a task that seems nearly impossible given all the horrors and terrifying villains found in the depths of the cells.

The story moved at a brisk pace, focusing on long action scenes that were intense and thrilling. The antagonists were fearsome and relentless. Many of the villains featured here were relatively new, but there were some huge twists near the end. Rin is finally coming into her own as a warrior and I really enjoyed her battles with Doa, who is also a character I would love to see more of. Some of her battles were truly memorable and she is a true force to be reckoned with.

With every omnibus I read, I become more invested in the characters and love watching them interact with old antagonists and new. The ending left so much open that I genuinely can't wait to see what the next collection holds!

The prison arc was one of the best in the book to date. Great, clever fight scenes, potent emotional beats and stellar art as always.
