In many ways this is exactly what I want from Doctor Who and especially from the Big Finish box set format. Four stories that work together and cannot be apart, featuring supporting characters that you actually care about and with the space to breathe and build a world and deal with consequences.
It's almost a crime that the story moves on at the end, the concept of The Doctor being properly stranded could've made an entire series or two. I also think that what's there is fantastic, a really talented dramatist could've extended the episodes and given the recurring characters lots of their own subplots, y'know, really commit to the soapy dynamic of it all and do something really different. Maybe that's unfair, maybe it's just me wanting more slice-of-life sci-fi?

My second Doctor Who audio play after Dark Eyes. I’m really enjoying it, I love Paul McGann, and Tania’s character is amazing. I’m also very invested in a certain slow-burn… It’s really fun to see the characters (and the plotting) limited to one, static setting!

This is an absolutely brilliant listen, and one of the Eighth Doctor's best boxsets. The idea of a Doctor Who story that has almost zero 'Doctor Who' is brilliant - barely any aliens, barely any problems. They just have to face day-to-day life. Can't wait to see more of this.

Oh wow, this was super great. I love all the new characters and the idea of the Doctor having to slow himself down a little. Nice to see Andy and the Curator pop up too. Really looking forward to the next set of stories.
