I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review!

One of the books I just had to try out on Netgalley. I love cats and this one also promised to add a magazine feel to it. The previews I saw on Amazon convinced me this would be a book I would enjoy. And boy, enjoy I did. This was just the book I need in this 17th day of staying inside (and by the time you all read this it will be many more days). I need something to distract me and something to make me laugh.

The book starts with notices to both humans and cats, I have to say I wasn’t a fan of both. Sorry. I am just getting a bit tired of the whole cats bashing humans thing that I see quite often in books with cats as main theme. And there are a few other parts in the book that were a bit cringy and had me rolling my eyes. I get that cats have this whole attitude of boo humans, but still it just wasn’t my thing to read.

The pee thing was a bit awkward, I know this is a magazine for cats, but I was just disgusted by that.

But there was plenty of good in the book that I enjoyed. Like the gossip, what to scratch guide (and also what NOT), various articles by cats, cute photography, and more. I loved the quizzes and other fun games that were added. My favourite article was definitely the one about boxes. Who can resist cute cats in boxes?

But yeah, I had trouble reading it, it may be a combo of the writing (which at points just felt like it tried too hard to be funny) + cats being unnecessarily horrible + headache, it was a shame. It took me quite a bit of time to get this book and I had to motivate myself with some RuPaul to actually get this one read.

Received via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review

As a heathen human, I would ABSOLUTELY subscribe to Pussweek magazine.

The articles range from the best items to destroy in your human's house, to the dangers of the vacuum cleaner. Advice columns, inspirational imagery for cats of all size and breed.

This was absolutely hysterical.

I like cats. I do. Of course, I like my own cat best.

I also like humor. I thought.

Either way, this sort of magazine turned out not to be for me. Immediately at the introduction I was thinking, this is not funny, and it didn’t really improve. The humor was not my style, many juvenile jokes, but it didn’t seem to be aimed at children per se.

There were a lot of cat pictures, if that’s something you like. But I think you will also be able to find plenty on the internet.

Not for me.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Cute, colorful and funny. Cat lovers will laugh at this book written for cats.
Some of the subjects include:
Good pee spots
How to find the perfect box
Things to scratch other than your scratcher
Catnip addiction
Fun things to throw on the floor

The pictures are eye catching. The kitties are silly.

This would be a good coffee table book for a cat lover.

I got to read an early ebook edition from NetGalley. Thanks!

Got Thumbs? Get Lost* (Polydactyl cats exempt, obvs. Calm down).

I love this – it’s Cosmo, but for cats. Top 20 Most Peeworthy Hotspots! My Day as a Dog: One brave cat goes undercover to find out what it’s like to constantly stink and crave human attention! The human conspiracy around vacuums! How feline are you? All this and so much more in this edition of PUSSWEEK! A magazine, by cats for cats. Absolutely hilarious, and would definitely recommend for anyone who loves cats.

Hilarious! Where in the heck does the author come up with this stuff? From stories of cat litter, to cardboard boxes, and of course the dreaded vacuum cleaner. From start to finish, it's full of laughs and entertainment. It reads like an "Entertainment Weekly," for cats by cats. It's a bit snarky at times, but that's the beauty of it.

I absolutely loved "Pussweek." I'm still grinning after finishing it, and I'll never look at my cat and dog the same way again. A great book for the cat person in your life. Five stars!

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
