Very uneven collection of short stories. I loved Powers' Morte D'Urban and Wheat That Springeth Green. And I liked the stories that dealt with Midwestern priests in this small collection of stories. But 4 or 5 of the other stories seemed like throwaways to me. Worth picking up for the 5 good stories, but I was surprised at the differences in quality.
