A well-written murder mystery, set in a small down in France, where memories of the war are always just around the corner.

What an interesting time and place. The story takes place in 1963 France where the reader learns of the impact of the two world wars fought in their country. Lucas Rocco is an intuitive detective working through the maze of politics and corruption. Can't wait for the next book.
