Jessica Fletcher and several other prominent Cabot Cove residents are thrilled when they are invited to take the inaugural flight of a new airline from Boston to London. However, their plans are grounded in London when the airline's CEO is found murdered at the airport.

I absolutely love the Murder, She Wrote tv series. I don't remember a time when I wasn't familiar with Jessica and Cabot Cove. I really hate to rate this book two stars, but I really found it to just be an okay book. I actually considered whether or not I wanted to finish reading it at several points.

Although our favorite Cabot Cove residents accompany Jessica on the flight, they do not participate in the investigation. They show up occasionally at meals and on excursions in London. At one point, Jessica tries to evade them in order to investigate with her love interest, George Sutherland. George's insistence that Jessica participate in every aspect of the investigation did not make sense to me other than the fact that he simply wanted to spend time with her.

I just did not care for this installment of the Murder, She Wrote series. I will probably read more of the books in the future; however, I am definitely going to take a break from the series.

So this all started with one of Zan's photos on Flickr. She posted a photo of a coffee mug promoting the book, Coffee, Tea, or Me? about airline stewardesses in the 60s. I searched for the book on nypl.org, and Coffee, Tea, or Murder? also came up in the search results. How can you resist a title like that?

Full disclosure: I've never seen an episode of Murder She Wrote in my entire life, but this book made me wish I'd seen the entire series. My favorite part of the book is that Jessica Fletcher is actually listed as the author.

I hadn't read a pulp mystery book in ages, so this was sort of fun, trying to figure out whodunit. But I think I'll stick to Agatha Christie in the future.

In this addition to the Murder, She Wrote world Jessica and her friends Seth and Mort are given the opportunity to ride in a high fashioned and new airplane from a fellow citizen and owner. Jessica is excited to go to London with her friends and to maybe see potential love interest and Scotland Yard Detective, George.

The owner of the airline was murdered and of course our Jessica has decided that she is going to help her beau in solving the murder. I listened to this on audiobook and I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best of the Murder, She Wrote series I've read so far.

This was a rather interesting murder mystery. This time, Jessica and many members of Cabot Cove are on the inaugural flight of a new airline headed to London. Then a murder occurs.

Most of the Murder She Wrote books can be read stand-alone without difficulty. However, this one would be difficult for someone new to the series as there are a lot of characters who aren't really explained.

Solves murder, flies planes, AND looks great in a cardigan? What can't Jessica Fletcher do?

A quick read, and not very satisfying. I was hoping for a nostalgic, Angela Lansbury fix, but instead the book felt like a simple murder with bits of British culture clumsily thrown in to make it 1960s travelogue-news reel. I miss Angela Lansbury's Jessica Fletcher, with her countless nieces and nephews, her unexpected skill set popping up, her patience and persistent honesty!
