This is where this series really starts to get good for me. These are the issues that really got me hooked and now I'm in for the long haul on the Invincible series. Robert Kirkman is a genius!

This is it. The defining moment of the series that sets Invincible apart from the rest. Kirkman amps up his writing chops for this volume and what was once a stereotypical teen superhero drama really starts to come into its' own. Ryan Ottley joins in this volume as the new artist adding to the overall tone and style to the story. Volume 1 & 2 were a slog to get through but getting to Volume 3 is worth the journey. If you're a fan of the superhero genre, you will not regret Invincible.

i just don’t know what to say. this is so brutal and just heart wrenching in a way that i haven’t experienced with a graphic novel/comic series before. the violence is so outlandish but beautifully done. you can’t help but sympathize with mark and his mom. god, i just am at a loss.
