despite knowing about the difficult subject of the book, i wasn’t prepared to be at the mind of a depressed teenager. the book was too difficult to get through :( also, too many povs made it confusing to follow

Well-written and touching. I enjoyed it very much. Spoilers for “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson.

At first I was unsure about the style of writing but it ended up complimenting the characters quite well. After finish the first part I had to take a break for a while because I got so emotionally invested in one of the many stories/outcomes of this book. Withouth getting into the worst of the graphic details of the subject matter the author still manages to bring out all the associated emotions. Enjoyed the cast of characters and I feel it has re-read value as well.

This was so beautiful. Comes with a laundry list of trigger warnings but captures mental illness and all its possible treatments in an incredible way. 1000/10. 500 ⭐️s.
