I enjoyed the art and the way that Buffy had to confront her friends feelings and learn to accept who she was before becoming the slayer. However, the rest of the story was predictable and kind of boring. I also did not enjoy the black and white morality, this is an issue I have with earlier seasons of the show as well. Definitely not the best Buffy comic.

Not bad, but very elementary. Used the word “cool” like a kajillion times.

A nice little visit back to Sunnydale High with the core four. Makes me want to watch the show from the beginning (again). A group of vamps just wanting to fit in with other vamps try to take down the slayer. In doing so they manage to break down some of the confidence that keeps our heroine going. A quick story about friendship and trusting yourself. Very cute.

Light and cute. Not as amazing as the "real" Buffy comics, but enjoyable in their own way.

I really love how this brought on a lot of nostalgia for season one of Buffy. It was a nice light read and the writers gave the storyline about friendship that would be great for middle grade and early high school aged kids. I enjoyed the look of Buffy, Willow, and Giles but Xander was off from my perspective. The way they altered the vampires facial features in different panels emphasized how the heightened emotions change their features.
