An amazing collection of short stories that range from the sexually perverse to the frighteningly realistic. A local New Orleans author, who is also an ER doctor, there is a touch of maddness to each story to be found. I also had the good fortune of seeing the author read from the collection when it came out - an amazing treat! My favorite story in the collection is "G.I. Bleed," which has honestly made me a bit skiddish about hospitals. There is something for everyone here, you just gotte look.

The first story in the collection, "By the Light of the Jukebox," is one of my favorite stories of the entire past year. Highly recommend Paschal's strange, unnerving, and underrated work.
