This sweet children's book takes a classic format, with each page building on the previous page a la The House that Jack Built. In this version, however, the story is about a community coming together to rescue a stray kitten and find it a home. The story isn't just about a kitten, it's about all the people who work together to make sure the kitten is safe. Charming and heartwarming!

These cumulative stories can be big flops or huge hits, and this one knocked it out of the park. The story of the neighborhood coming together to rescue a small kitten and find it a home was super sweet and the illustrations were perfect. It was a great "cat" book and also a perfect book for talking about neighbors and community.
