Another book by T.Kingfisher in as many months I've finished reading, but I loved this one.

It's easy going with a great pace, and the overall story for me had just the right amount of everything as well as a plenty of 'what on earth'.

The story follows Sam back home to her grandmothers house where her mother now lives. 6 aware her mother may now be ailing or is something else causing the change in behaviour?

Meeting the neighbours along the way and uncovering the family secrets really draws you into the story. It even has a faint hint of flirting...

The urge to go and buy roses is now so overwhelming...

5 blooming stars.

Enjoyable read - unique 'big bad', and made me deeply uncomfortable around ladybugs. Kingfisher knows how to spin a weird memorable tale.
