The saga continues... great use of Greek mythology in the modern world, appealing hero.

4.5 stars.

I've enjoyed the first two books previously, and saw this available as an audiobook, read by the author.

This won't make much sense to readers/listeners who haven't read the read of the series. For those that have, the adventure picks up where we left Elliott and his Immortal friends. Mid-quest. His mum is still slowly deteriorating, his home still in danger of being taken away from him, his Godly friends still 'helping'.

Searching for chaos stones, we continue to get to know the Greek myths, with more characters brought into scenes, as Elliott desperately tries to save his mum and the world too.

Maz Evans reads her own work brilliantly, with great voices for a range of personalities. The story makes good sense in audio format, it's easy to keep up and the humour of a reader voicing the Gods is spot on.

There's a dark ending here, with continuation expected, hinting at what's to come. I'll be looking for the next book when it's published...

With thanks to Nudge Books for providing a sample Audible copy.

Fan-flipping-tastic!! LOL funny with an emotional kicker of an ending. If I could rate this more than five stars I would.

Ranked Book 8 (out of 15) of my holiday reads - August 2019

I liked this better than the sequel - 4.5*

Loved the twist at the end and honestly my heart is breaking for Elliot Hooper and Virgo. They're such young souls and they don't deserve all the heartbreak they've been given. They don't deserve it. They don't deserve it at all.

I think this one was a little more complex and had twists and moral dilemmas, which I think is why I enjoyed this one more than the sequel (Simply the Quest). It also reminded me of Odyssey by Homer and The Adventures of Odysseus and I love those books so that was great. It was like a child friendly, funny adaptation of it all.

Overall a great read.
Can't wait to read the final book in the series.
