Came to this book via a reference to the author in [b:The Ties That Bind: A Mystery Crime Thriller|38119995|The Ties That Bind A Mystery Crime Thriller (Max Plank Mystery Series Book 2)|Robert Bucchianeri|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1516603810s/38119995.jpg|59807911]. I enjoyed that book a lot and I expected that the author (Robert Bucchianeri) would only mention someone else's book if he thought it was exceptional.
Unfortunately, I didn't think this book was exceptional. The problem was the "romance" part of the book, which was repetitive, awkward and very distracting from the mystery part of the book.
I did finish this book, but don't expect to read any more by this author.
