I always love reading anthologies. So tell me that an anthology is full of paranormal romances between women and you have all of my attention. Like of course I was going to read this anthology, it seems like it was made specifically for me.

Cougar Woods by Tiana Warner
Rating: 3 stars

Blurb: Liza’s brother went missing. She tracked him to a small town called Cougar Woods. There, she is absolutely fascinated with a woman named Winter. But Winter’s is a shifter and her pack doesn’t allow dating. They end up falling in love regardless.

Themes: Cougar shifters, fated mates

My thoughts:
Liza and Winter were such a good couple. I just really enjoyed reading the relationship between them. I loved how they were attracted to each other at first glance and then they started a friendship with each other. All of their interactions were a lot of fun to read about and I really enjoyed them.

These two were just so sweet together and it was an absolute joy to read their interactions. And I really liked how they got together, it was just super cute and lovely to read about.

The set up for this story was super fun. I really liked how the forbidden aspect of their love was done, since they couldn’t date because of pack rules. It was just such a good concept and I really enjoyed reading about it.

I really liked reading about the cougar shifters tribes. They had a lot of rules and they were super strict on them and it made it super enjoyable to read. I thought that it gave a super fun dimension to the story because I just wanted to learn more and more about the tribe.

This story was set on Vancouver Island and I just adored the setting. The island was described in so many details and it was just so great to read them all. The setting was just so nicely described and it brought so much life to the story, I really enjoyed it.

Sadly, I just felt like this story took on too many themes to truly have enough time to develop them all in the page length of the story. I just wanted a lot more details for a lot of events in this story.

But I still really enjoyed this one and it was super sweet.

Crimson Desires by K.L. Bone
Rating: 3 stars
Blurb: Yelena is a doctor who was tuened into a vampire 60 years ago and she’s really struggling with the fact that she has to drink people’s blood to survive. She meets Suzette, a 2 000 years old vampire that can teach her many things about life and how to be a vampire. They fall in love through it all.
Themes: Vampires, fated mates

My thoughts:
I really enjoyed the romance in this one. This had a super sweet meet cute and a lot of pining and them describing how lovely the other is and that really worked for me.

I really liked reading about Yelena’s struggles with being a vampire. Not only was this a super original topic that I haven’t seen much before, it was also done in such an enjoyable to read way.

This story had some really hot smut and I absolutely adored those scenes.

I really enjoyed the plot in this story. It was complex and pretty well developed. But mostly it was just a lot of fun to read about and it had a lot going for it, in a good way.

But sadly, I just feel like the author tried to take on too many themes at the same time and that the story was too charged in content, that it overshadowed the romance for me. I would have prefered this story to have less plot and more romance.

Elda’s Zephyr by Renee Hewett
Rating: 4 stars
Blurb: Elda is a vampire. She is fascinated by the barista at her favourite café, a half fae half wolf shifter. Their romance is forbidden, but they cannot stop falling in love with each other.
Themes: Vampire and fae, forbidden romance

My thoughts:
I just really enjoyed this story. This had every themes I wanted to be reading about and the execution was lovely.

I really liked the we cannot be together but we cannot resist each other vibes in this story. There was so many scenes like that and they all worked lovingly for me. Those vibes just added such a good element to the story and I really enjoyed it.

I really loved the romance in this. This story was just so swoony. This had so much pining, which I adored. But also it just had so much good vibes. The romance in this book was just so sweet and a joy to read about.

I really enjoyed the plot in this one. The forbidden aspect was super well crafted and added a lot of dynamic to the romance. It made it so that the characters had to fight to be able to go together and that was really fun to read for me.

Overall, this was just such an enjoyable stories. The vibes were super fun and the plot was well crafted and super cute.

Hot for Her Bear by Ariel Marie
Rating: 3 stars
Blurb: Saffron is obsessed with her best friend’s older sister, Dasha, who is a grizzly shifter. They end up realizing that they are made for each other.
Themes: Bear shifter and a human mate

My thoughts:
I really liked the pairing in this one. Saffron was super sweet and good and Dasha was good but very grumpy. They fit together super well and I loved seeing their interactions. Their dynamic just made their interactions super fun to read.

I really liked how this story was done. The pacing was super good and it made the story super enjoyable to read. This story just had the right amounts of everything, a good romance, super cute couple interactions, hot steamy scenes. It had all it and I enjoyed it all, very much so.

As much as I enjoyed the romance in this one, which is a lot, I just didn’t really care for the side plot. It was a little too long for me and overshadowed the romance, which I didn’t really enjoy.
