I love the weaving of past and present while incorporating different perspectives. I would have liked some information about how much fact was included, but it was an entertaining read for sure.

The history was very faint in this historical fiction novel. The writing was disjointed and I throughly disliked one of the love stories. This was almost a 1 star for me, I didn’t like most of the characters. I’ve come to realize two things from this book: I detest southern accents in audiobooks and to never read another book written by 3 authors (too many cooks as they say).
